العتق
Umm Salāmah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said to us: "If any one of you has a slave who has entered into a contract of manumission, and he can afford to pay the price, she should veil herself from him."

The Hadīth shows that if a slave who has entered a contract of manumission can afford to pay the amount due for it, his female owner should veil herself from him, because he has become free, even if he has not yet paid the money.
