People of the Truth (أهل الحق)

المعنى الاصطلاحي :
All those who adhere to the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the actions of the Companions, in words, deeds, and beliefs, while avoiding religious innovations and their advocates.
الشرح المختصر :
"Ahl-ul-Haqq", or People of the Truth, are those who act upon the Qur'an and follow the Sunnah of the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, and the traditions of the Companions and those who followed them in every time and place. They are called "People of the Truth" because they follow the truth and support it and shun falsehood and fight it. What is intended here by "Haqq" (Truth) is the guidance and light that Allah sent down His revelation with, and sent His messengers to convey, and ordered His slaves to submit to and follow, and Allah will not accept from anyone other than this Truth. "Ahl-ul-Haqq" is one of the authentic names and titles of Ahl-us-Sunnah wal-Jamaa`ah that indicate their state and beliefs. Also from their names are: As-Salaf, Ahlus-Sunnah, Ahlul-Athar, Ahlul-Hadeeth, Al-Firqah an-Naajiyah, At-Taa'ifah al-Mansoorah, and Ahlul-Ittibaa`.
