من موسوعة المصطلحات الإسلامية

المعنى الاصطلاحي

The time when supplication is most likely to be answered by Allah, the Almighty, on Friday.

الشرح المختصر

"Sā‘at al-ijābah" (supplication answering hour): There are blessed times at which supplication is highly recommended and most likely to be accepted and answered. These times include "sā‘at al-ijābah", which is a blessed time occurring on Friday. Scholars held different opinions, more than thirty, regarding the specific time of that hour, two of which are more predominant and mentioned in authentic Hadiths, and they are: 1. The time between the imam's sitting or his ascending the pulpit until the prayer ends. 2. The time after the ‘Asr prayer until sunset, and this is the most predominant of the two opinions.
