مسائل الجاهلية
‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware of extremism, for indeed, extremism destroyed those before you."
عن عبد الله بن عباس -رضي الله عنهما- قال: قال رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم-: "إياكم والغُلُوَّ؛ فإنما أهلك من كان قبلكم الغُلُوُّ".
شرح الحديث :
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited us in this Hadīth from extremism in religion, which is exceeding the limits in it, so as not to be destroyed as the previous nations were destroyed when they went to extremes in their religion and exceeded the limits in their acts of worship.
