A discipline that focuses on events and reports that help to study and define the status of the texts of hadiths with regard to acceptability or unacceptability, implementation or discarding. This is an area of study introduced by the hadith scholar Sirāj al-Dīn al-Bulqīnī (died 805 AH, 1403 CE).
