in-between glottal stop (الْهَمْزُ بَيْنَ بَيْن)

علوم القرآن

التعريف :

To pronounce the glottal stop as a sound in between a realised stop and the long vowel that gives it its short vowel. Thus, if it is followed by a short vowel a, u, or i, it is pronounced in-between a fully realised glottal stop and ā, ū, or ī, respectively. This is also called ishmām, and it is adopted by several main reciters.
