“Dir‘” (armor) is one of the most important pieces of war equipment. It is made of iron and similar material to protect one from the stabs and strikes of weapons such as arrows, spears, and swords.

“Dir‘”: iron armor worn over the body to protect it from weapons. Other meanings: garment made of wool and other fabrics which women wear and covers the upper and lower body.
