"Ar-Rizaamiyyah" is a group of extremist Shiites who followed a man called Rizaam ibn Razam. They emerged in the Khurasaan region. Their main beliefs: 1. They claim that Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah was the rightful Imam (leader of the Muslim nation) after `Ali ibn Abi Taalib, then his son Abdullah, then Muhammad ibn `Ali ibn Abdullah ibn `Abbas, and then his sons until Al-Mansoor. Then, God became incarnated in the body of Abu Muslim al-Khurasani and he was not killed. 2. They hold that it is permissible to marry one's Mahrams, and they waived religious obligations. 3. They believe in reincarnation and pantheism (that the whole universe is a manifestation of God and identical with Him). 4. They believe that Abu Muslim al-Khurasani, who was one of the prominent figures of the `Abbasid dynasty, is still alive, and that God’s spirit became incarnated in him. They further claim that the man whom Abu Ja`far al-Mansoor killed was not Abu Muslim, but, rather, a devil who assumed his image.
