An extremist Shiite sect who believes that Jibreel (Gabriel) was sent with the Message to ‘Ali, but he mistakenly delivered it to Muhammad, may Allah's and blessings be upon him.

الشرح المختصر

"Al-Ghuraabiyyah" are an extremist sect of the "Raafidah" Shia, who claim that Allah, the Almighty, sent Jibreel (Gabriel), peace be upon him, to ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib, may Allah be pleased with him, but Jibreel made a mistake on the way and went to Muhammad, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, because he resembled ‘Ali, just as a raven resembles another. Some of their beliefs: 1. They claim that ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib is a Prophet and Messenger and that his sons are the Messengers after him. 2. They curse Jibreel, peace be upon him, and say to their followers: "Curse the one with the feathers," meaning Jibreel.
