These are the Qur'an, the sunnah, unanimity of scholars, the practice of the people of Madinah, analogy, istiḥsān, istiṣḥāb, blocking means [i.e. sadd al-dharāʾiꜤ], invalidity of tricks, undefined interests, consideration of differences of view and tradition, consideration of objectives and intentions in contracts, upholding secondary evidence and status at the time in disputes and judgement.
