A state in which one excessively feels in desperate need of Allah the Almighty.
“Tadarru‘” (beseeching) is one of the most important acts of worship to be offered at the time of hardships and calamities and in all circumstances. It implies resorting to Allah and seeking relief from Him with full submission and humbleness. Allah the Almighty loves His slave to show his weakness and need to Him, whether in supplications or in acts of worship. There are preferable times for beseeching Allah, such as the time before dawn, between the first and second calls for prayer, at the end of Friday daytime, etc.
"Tadarru‘": humility, submission. It is derived from "dar‘" which means weakness and softness. Other meanings: submissiveness, stillness, seeking relief.
To affect humility and complete submission to God, reiterating one’s supplication with sincerity and devotion.
