Judging that the narrators of a certain Hadith are the narrators accredited by Al-Bukhari and Muslim.
"Sahih `ala shartihimaa" (authentic as per the conditions of Al-Bukhari and Muslim) is a technical term for identifying a degree of authentic Hadiths. The narrators of a certain Hadith have their reports mentioned in the two Sahihs of Al-Bukhari and Muslim. In this regard, it is said: "Its men (narrators) are those of the two Sahihs." Al-Bukhari stipulates, for the authenticity of the Hadith, that the narrator has actually met the one whom he narrates from. However, Muslim does not stipulate both meeting and narration. It is sufficient, according to him, that the narrators were contemporaneous and that it is possible that the narrator and his shaykh could have met.
