al-Ghawth, succour (الْغَوْث)

العقيدة

التعريف :

- for the Sufis al-ghawth is the ‘top one’, the head of the elite Sufis. He is their succour and the one to bring them all the help they need. They permit the offering of sacrifice and pledges to him, and say that he rewards for these when they are given. Some of them allege that al-ghawth gives aide to God’s friends and knows them all.
