A type of devil and jinn that appears to people in uninhabited places in order to misguide them.
"Ghool" (ghoul): There are different types of jinn in terms of strength, deception, and ability to change form and to harm people. An example of this is "ghools" from among the jinn and the devils which appear before the people and assume different forms in deserts, especially when man feels isolated, so they appear before him and mislead him. He may see a fire that moves here and there or hear sounds, and so on.
"Ghool": anything that destroys and ruins, such as devils and beasts of prey. Derived from "ghawl", which means remoteness.
Demons and spirits mentioned in some Arabian stories, claiming that they appear to some people, leading them away from their routes where they kill them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that such creatures are unreal.
