A description of a hadith narrator implying that his accuracy is not up to acceptable standards or that there is some blemish in his character. If it relates to accuracy, then the term is of the sixth degree, the least of unacceptable grades. Hadiths narrated by people of this grade are written for reconfirmation, not as main evidence.
