الحديث

التعريف :

Grades of narrators as to how far they lack the qualities of unblemished character and accurate reporting. Al-Sakhāwī assigns six grades, the worst of which is when a narrator is described in phrases like ‘the greatest liar’, then comes the one described as ‘liar’ and similar terms. The third grade is that of narrators who earn descriptions like ‘accused of lying’. Next come those described as ‘very weak’. The fifth grade earns descriptions like ‘weak’, and the least grade is that of narrators who are described as ‘not strong’ and similar phrases.
