آداب الزيارة والاستئذان

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever is presented with basil should not decline it. Indeed, it is light to carry and pleasant to smell.”

عن أبي هريرة -رضي الله عنه- مرفوعاً: «من عُرِضَ عليه رَيْحَانٌ فلا يرده، فإنه خفيف الْمَحْمِلِ، طيب الريح».

شرح الحديث :

Anyone who receives a gift of an aromatic object should accept it, because there is no difficulty in carrying it and likewise its scent is good.
