المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Preventing a person from disposing of his own wealth for a reason.
الشرح المختصر :
"Hajr" (interdiction) is to prevent a person from disposing of his own wealth verbally or physically. It is of two types: 1. "Hajr" for the benefit of others, such as placing legal restraint on a bankrupt person in favor of his creditors or on a fatally-ill person in favor of his heirs with regards to two thirds of his wealth, and so on. 2. "Hajr" for the sake of the person himself, such as the insane, the youngster, and the fool. There are six reasons for "hajr": not having reached maturity, insanity, foolishness, enslavement, illness, and bankruptcy.
