To visit the places of prophets and pious people, such as their graves, places where they gave their teachings or offered their worship, to pray and supplicate there and gain the blessings of such places. This is a deviant practice which Islam censures. In a hadith, the prophet says: ‘journeys may be made only to three mosques...’ (Related by al-Bukhari 1189).
