التعريف :
That the wording indicates a portion of the meaning of the words.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
A word indicating part of its signification or meaning.
الشرح المختصر :
"Dalālat-ut-tadammun" is the signification of a partial accord between the word and its designatum. The original meaning suggests a partial connotation, or the partial connotation is understood from the the original meaning. For example, Allah is "As-Samee‘" (the All-Hearing), a name that indicates His essence alone and the attribute of hearing alone.
