A group of the senior tābiꜤīn from Madinah. They are: SaꜤīd ibn al-Musayyib, al-Qāsim ibn Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr al-Ṣiddīq, ꜤUrwah ibn al-Zubayr ibn al-ꜤAwwām, Khārijah ibn Zayd ibn Thābit al-Anṣārī, Abu Salamah ibn ꜤAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ꜤAwf, ꜤUbaydullāh ibn ꜤAbdullāh ibn ꜤUtbah ibn MasꜤūd and Sulaymān ibn Yasār al-Hilālī. It is reported that ꜤAbdullāh ibn al-Mubārak mentioned Sālim ibn ꜤAbdullāh ibn ꜤUmar in place of Abu Salamah ibn ꜤAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ꜤAwf. Furthermore, it is reported that Abu al-Zinād mentioned Abu Bakr ibn ꜤAbd al-Raḥmān in place of Abu Salamah.
