التعريف :
Where the Imam stands in prayer.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
A niche in the wall of the masjid in the direction of the "qiblah" (prayer direction) where the imam stands to lead the prayer.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Mihraab": the forefront of the house and its most dignified part. Also, the noblest of assemblies. Other meanings: the place where the imam stands in the masjid while leading the prayer.
