الجَبْرُ في اللغة عكسُ الكسرِ، وهو التسويةُ، والإجبار القهر،...
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) sneezed, he would cover his mouth with his hand or cloth, suppressing or lowering (the narrator was unsure), the sound therewith.
شرح الحديث :
This Hadīth explains one of etiquettes of sneezing. It is recommended for the one sneezing to avoid overreacting during sneezing, to lower his voice, and to cover his face if possible.
