A reformer who belongs to the prophet’s progeny and traces his ancestry to al-Ḥasan ibn ꜤAlī. He will have the same name as the Prophet’s name. He comes towards the end of time, and assumes power spreading justice across the world, after injustice had spread far and wide. Jesus will make his second coming during al-Mahdī’s lifetime, and he joins him in prayer and he helps al-Mahdī in killing the Imposter.
