Every learned reciter who chose for himself his own variant recitation from the total sum of what he studied and narrated with sound chains of transmission leading up to the top reciters among the prophet’s companions, the tābiꜤīn, and the recitaters of the ten acknowledged variants who achieved a high standard in Islamic and language studies.
