The proper name of the city of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, to which he emigrated from Makkah and in which he lived and died.
الشرح المختصر
"Al-Madinah an-Nabawiyyah" (Madinah) is the city where the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, lived after his migration from Makkah. It is located in the known area of Hijaz in the western region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is located about 400 kilometers to the northeast of Makkah and is about 150 kilometers to the east of the Red Sea coast.
