المعنى الاصطلاحي
The path which Allah, the Almighty, established for His servants through His Messenger and made a means that leads to Him by observing His commands, shunning His prohibitions, and believing in whatever He reveals.
الشرح المختصر
“As-Sirāt al-Mustaqeem” (the Straight Path) stands for the message with which Allah, the Almighty, sent Prophet Muhammad, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him. It consists of inward aspects, like beliefs and intentions, and outward aspects, including sayings and actions, and it is where Satan seeks to stay in wait for mankind in order to avert them from it. “As-Sirāt al-Mustaqeem” is the clear way on which there is neither crookedness nor deviation. Other principles that are synonymous with “As-Sirāt al-Mustaqeem” are: obedience to Allah and His Messenger, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him; As-Sunnah wa al-Jamā‘ah; the way of servitude to Allah, the Almighty; and the like.
