Sealing (طَبْعٌ)

المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Covering a person's heart to make him heedless of doing what benefits him and abandoning what harms him.
الشرح المختصر :
"Tab`" means sealing the heart and preventing it from knowing what is beneficial of words and deeds, and from abandoning the harmful thereof. It is of two categories: 1. Complete sealing, pertinent to the disbeliever and the hypocrite. Among the reasons for sealing their hearts are rejection of the truth and arrogance. 2. Partial sealing, pertinent to the sinful and dissolute Muslim. Among the reasons for sealing the heart of the dissolute Muslim are: - committing numerous sins and misdeeds. - exposing oneself to temptations and lusts. - not performing the Friday Prayer.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Tab`": creating, forming, making. Also used to refer to the inherent traits and morals in a person. It can also mean sealing something and finishing it.
