Repeated oaths sworn by the kin of a slain person to confirm the accusation of murder.
الشرح المختصر
"Qasaamah" (collective oath) is a means of proving murder and identifying the murderer. It is to swear repeated oaths amounting to fifty oaths, when an innocent person is found slain in a place where no one knows who the murderer is and there is circumstantial evidence which the slain person's relatives hold against the murderer. Those who are present from among the male, adult, sane, free relatives of the victim swear these oaths to confirm the accusation against the suspect and his obligation to pay the blood money. These oaths may also be sworn by the suspect to deny the accusation against him.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر
