"Hādi" (pre-labor fluid) is a type of impure fluid typically discharged from the pregnant woman"s vagina. It has a vessel where it accumulates. It is often discharged when delivery is imminent. It may come out when the pregnant woman smells food or when she lifts something heavy and so on. This fluid is called "hādi" due to it being a sign that can help a woman know that she is pregnant or that her delivery is approaching. This term is specific to the Māliki school of Fiqh.
"Hādi": instructor, guide. The opposite of "huda" (guidance) is: misguidance and straying. It is derived from "hady", which means precedence and advancement. "Hādi" is the first of everything and that which comes forward thereof. Other meanings: indicator and clarifier.
