esotericism (الْبَاطِنِيَّة)

التعريف :

Different and varied groups which claim to belong to Islam and support of the members of the prophet’s household (Shia). They have in common the belief that every text has a surface meaning and a deep meaning. They thus give the Islamic texts an esoteric interpretation that is consistent with some belief which they allege to be known to them only.
