التعريف :

A pledge given at al-Hudaybiyah, in the north-west of the Haram area, when around 1,400 companions of the prophet pledged to him to fight the unbelievers, and that they would die rather than flee from battle. This was after a rumour was circulated that ꜤUthmān, whom the prophet sent to negotiate with the Quraysh, had been killed. It is called al-Riḍwān pledge, because God was pleased with the prophet’s companions who gave it. It is also called the tree pledge because it was given under a tree at al-Ḥudaybiyah.
