"Tarmeem" (restoration) is the act of restoring something that has fallen into disrepair, such as houses and mosques, by repairing what is broken, straightening what is imbalanced, reapplying clay to walls, and generally repairing whatever is in need of restoration, returning it to a fully suitable and beneficial state.
"Tarmeem": restoring and patching. It is derived from "ramm", which means repairing something worn out in parts, such as a rope or a wall.
