Carelessness and neglect that cause a person to delay a prayer or to not perform it until the time of the next prayer starts.
الشرح المختصر
"Tafreet" (negligence) is the carelessness that results in losing something or missing it. It has many forms, some of which are: 1. "Tafreet" in acts of worship: It is related to the rights of Allah, the Almighty, either by totally abandoning an act of worship, or by missing one of its pillars or one of its voluntary acts, or by performing it at a time other than that prescribed by the Shariah. 2. "Tafreet" in trust contracts: It is related to the rights of people, like being negligent in keeping a trust in the place it should be kept in, or by keeping it with someone who is not honest.
