A type of magic that is made to endear the woman to her husband and the man to his wife.
"Tiwalah" is an amulet that they hang on the husband, claiming that it endears the wife to her husband and the husband to his wife. This is Shirk (polytheism; associating partners with Allah), because it is not a legitimate or natural means to make someone love another. Similar to this is the wedding ring that is bought at the time of marriage and worn by the husband, and if he takes it off, the woman thinks that her husband does not love her. So they believe that wearing the ring involves benefit or harm. If this intention is present, then this is minor Shirk, but if this intention is not present, which is unlikely, then wearing the ring is an imitation of the Christians as this custom is taken from them. If someone believes that the ring itself can actually harm or benefit, then this is major Shirk.
