التعريف :


What must be respected and preserved of rights, persons, times and places.

المعنى الاصطلاحي :


Everything that Allah and His Messenger, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, have prohibited from committing or violating.

الشرح المختصر :


"Hurumāt" (prohibitions) is everything that the Legislator (Allah) has prohibited us from committing, such as fornication, consuming alcohol, and lying, or has prohibited us from violating, such as others' properties, blood, honor, and lands, whether the violation is by means of words, actions, or beliefs and the violator deserves punishment and is called "fāsiq" (dissolute, disobedient).

التعريف اللغوي المختصر :


"Hurumāt" (sing. hurmah): it is the sin that should not be violated. Derived from “tahreem", which means: prohibition. Opposite: "mubāhāt" (permissible things).
