Treating others kindly by extending favor to them, meeting them with a cheerful face, and refraining from causing them harm.
“Husn-ul-Khuluq” (good morals) is from the attributes of the prophets and righteous people, by means of which high degrees are attained and ranks are raised. It means treating others kindly, whether in terms of words or actions, along with adhering to beautiful attributes and praiseworthy traits. Good morals include oneself, all humans, and animals: it is by offering them good treatment in word and action, and avoiding harm or offending them. Those who are most deserving of being treated with good morals are the prophets, the Companions, the parents, and the scholars. This is done by honoring, venerating, and abstaining from harming them.
To meet people with a cheerful face, refrain from harming others, extend a helping hand to all, maintain good manners and observe fine morality.
