good, authentic, singly-reported (حَسَن صَحِيْح غَرِيْب)

good, authentic, singly-reported (حَسَن صَحِيْح غَرِيْب)

الحديث

التعريف :

A term used by al-Tirmidhī in grading hadiths. It implies that the hadith has only one chain of transmission (i.e. singly-reported), and that it is in between the two grades of ‘good’ and ‘authentic’, with some scholars grading it as ‘good’ while others considering it ‘authentic’.
