التعريف :

One of the stations of mīqāt for the hajj and the umrah, where the pilgrims from Iraq and whoever comes along their way start their consecration, i.e. iḥrām. It is about eighty kilometres to the east of Makkah. It is given this name because an Ꜥirq, i.e. A mall mount, is located there.
