Bilālī cubit (الذِّرَاعُ الْبِلَالِيَّةُ)

التعريف :


A measuring unit which is longer than a black cubit by two and two-thirds fingers. It was used in people’s transaction in Basra and Kufah. It is named after Bilāl ibn Abi Burdah who mentioned that it was the one used by his grandfather, Abu Mūsā al-AshꜤarī, the Prophet’s companion.
