All that scholars may use to arrive at rulings including unanimously agreed evidence and evidence subject to differences, such as the Qur'an, the sunnah, the unanimity of scholars, analogy, statement by a companion of the prophet, laws of past religions, istiṣḥāb, maṣāliḥ mursalah, istiḥsān, and confirmed rules of induction.
