التعريف :


What a deceased person leaves behind of real property, money, or other movable or immovable belongings.

المعنى الاصطلاحي :


The right to which one becomes entitled after the death of the owner of that right due to their kinship relationship or so.

الشرح المختصر :


“Irth” (inheritance) is a right that includes money and other rights, such as the right of choice, preemption, and retribution. This right is dividable into shares and parts such as halves, thirds, etc. The inheritors become entitled to this right only after the death of the original owner. The cause that entitles inheritors to this right is relationship through kinship and so on, such as marriage, “walā’” (allegiance of an ex-slave to his ex-master), etc.

“Irth”: property left by a deceased person. Original meaning: transfer of something from a group of people to another.
