التعريف :

A phrase limiting the forms of narration, ‘narrated, reported to me’. It is used by a narrator when narrating hadiths which he learnt from his teachers through the written correspondence method, thus distinguishing these from the ones he learnt by listening to the teacher or reading out to him.
