المعنى الاصطلاحي

The place where Allah, Glorified and Exalted be He, rests His feet. It is ahead of the Throne.

الشرح المختصر

"Al-Kursi" (the footstool) is one of Allah's great creations. It is the place where Allah, the Exalted, rests His feet. It is located ahead of the Throne, like a step to it. Its existence has been affirmed by Ibn ‘Abbās and other Companions of the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him. The seven heavens in comparison to the "Kursi" are like seven dirhams thrown into something used to protect oneself against a sword or a spear in times of battle. It is made from skin or wood. The "Kursi" in comparison to the Throne is like one of the rings of a shield thrown in the desert.

التعريف اللغوي المختصر

"Kursi", and maybe it was said "kirsi": a bed, something that one leans or sits on. Other meanings: knowledge; hence, scholars are called "karāsi".

التعريف

A great creation placed in front of God’s throne, and it is the place of God Almighty’s feet. It extends over the heavens and the earth and it is greater than both.
