التعريف :

One of the idols worshipped in pre-Islamic days. It is a white rock with engravings, and a building erected over it, with coverings and servants to look after it, and it has a yard. The people of Taif glorified it and considered it a source of their pride over the rest of the Arabs. It was said that the name is the feminine form of God’s name, Allah, but God is most high above their allegations. God's Messenger (peace be upon him) sent al-Mughīrah ibn ShuꜤbah and Abu Sufyān Sakhr ibn Ḥarb to Taif and they destroyed it and built a mosque in its place at Taif.
