the ‘l’ of ‘bal’ (لَامُ بَلْ)

التعريف :

The ‘l’ sound of the word ‘bal’. It is not followed by a short vowel. It is assimilated if followed by ‘l’ or ‘r’ so as to make the ‘l’ and ‘r’ doubled. Variant recitations have different rules about its being assimilated if followed by any of the following eight sounds: t, th, z, s, ḍ, ṭ, ẓ, n. It is realised in all other cases.
