The surahs that open with the two separate letters Ḥā. Mīm. These are seven surahs 40-46: Ghāfir, Forgiving; Fuṣṣilat, Clearly Expounded; al-Shūrā; Consultation; al-Zukhruf, Gold; al-Dukhān, Smoke; al-Jāthiyah, Kneeling Down; and al-Aḥqāf, Sand Dunes.
