in-between elongation (الْمَدُّ الْمُتَوَسِط)

التعريف :

A long vowel that occurs in between two realised glottal stops, or a realised one and a softened one. It is a branch of the muttaṣil which is obligatory to elongate. For example: riʾāʾal-nās (2: 264).
