company (الْمَعِيَّة)

That God, limitless He is in His glory, is in company with his creation means that he encompasses them all by his knowledge, power, sight, hearing, management of affairs and sovereignty, in addition to the fact that his throne is above all his creation. He is not measured by his creation. That his throne is above all does not negate that he is in company with them. This companionship is an attribute of God confirmed in the Qur'an and the sunnah. It is of two types: general, which means that he encompasses all creation, and special which implies support to all those who deserve his support: i.e. His messengers and their followers.
