All glory be to God who advances or holds back whomever he wills, according to his wisdom. He advances whatever should be ahead in reality, as he wills. Whatever he puts forward is advanced, and whatever he holds back is left behind. Advancement, or putting ahead, is of two types: by nature, as some creation is better than others, and religious, as prophets are more distinguished than the rest of creation. This is one of God’s fine names.
